Where the region works out.
Fitness across our service area runs from full-size clubs anchoring Santa Rosa shopping centers to small studios in strip plazas from Windsor to Elk Grove, plus fitness rooms tucked inside Sacramento office buildings. Each one sees a steady loop of people who sweat, shower and head out, and each one is judged on how it looks the next time they walk through the door.
Locker rooms come first.
A member will forgive a crowded squat rack. A damp locker room with hair in the drain is another story. That is why every Arbor visit begins there: shower walls, floors and drains are scrubbed, soap film is worked off tile and grout, and benches, locker doors, handles and vanity tops are wiped until they are dry to the touch.
Toilets, urinals, sinks and partitions are cleaned and disinfected, mirrors are polished streak-free, and dispensers for soap, towels and tissue are topped off with supplies we bring or from your own closet, whichever you prefer. Standing water is pulled to the drains with a squeegee and the tile is left dry, and hair dryers, scales and changing tables get a wipe before the crew heads out to the gym floor.
Machines, racks, mats and the rubber floor.
Equipment gets a hand-by-hand pass. The crew wipes and disinfects grips, handlebars, seat and back pads, pin selectors and cardio screens, then moves on to dumbbell handles, plate trees, barbell racks and benches, top and underside. Yoga and stretching mats are cleaned on both faces and stacked dry, and the stretching area beneath them is cleaned before they go back.
Rubber tile and rolled rubber flooring trap chalk, grit and sweat in their texture. Arbor vacuums them first, then damp-cleans with a pH-neutral product that will not leave the surface brittle or slick, with extra attention at the feet of racks and machines. Turf sprint lanes are vacuumed and hard floors in the cardio rows get a damp mop. When a hard floor needs more, machine scrubbing is booked through our floor care service.
Studios, glass, the front desk and staff rooms.
Group studios are reset after the last class of the night. Mirror walls are cleaned edge to edge, bikes are wiped from saddle to handlebars, barres and reformer frames are wiped down, cubbies are cleared of dust, and the studio floor is cleaned for its surface, whether that is sprung wood, rubber or vinyl.
The front desk sets the first impression. Check-in counters, scanners, the retail shelf and lobby seating are cleaned, entry glass and doors lose their fingerprints, and walk-off mats are vacuumed. Staff break rooms, manager offices and coaching areas behind the desk are part of the same route, with counters, sinks, appliances and bins looked after.
Planned around your member hours.
Clubs that close at night get a full clean after the last member leaves, wrapped up before the early crowd arrives. Studios with an evening class schedule are cleaned once the final session lets out, and a club that opens at 5 a.m. can have its locker rooms finished first so they are ready when the doors unlock.
A 24-hour gym is cleaned in zones. One locker room is closed with signs while the other stays open, then the two trade places. Sections of the workout floor are handled while members use the rest, and the heaviest jobs are saved for the quietest stretch of the night, so nobody is turned away.
When the after-work rush hits, an Arbor day porter can stay on site to restock restrooms, wipe high-touch equipment, keep locker room floors dry and empty bins before they overflow.
Clubs, studios and fitness rooms.
Arbor cleans big-box and 24-hour clubs along with the boutique studios that fill the region’s shopping plazas: yoga, indoor cycling, pilates, functional-training gyms, climbing gyms and martial arts schools. Each plan is written around the equipment in the room, from bouldering pads and padded mat floors to rowers and squat rigs.
Office fitness rooms in Santa Rosa and Sacramento business parks, campus recreation spaces and apartment gyms are on the list too, along with physical therapy gyms where treatment tables, parallel bars and exercise bands need careful wiping between clinic days. Extra disinfection and sanitizing can be added to any of them.
What goes into a gym cleaning price.
A gym plan is built up from its floor area and how many nights a week the crew comes. Locker rooms, showers and restrooms add the most time, followed by the number of studios and equipment zones, the floor types, whether the club runs around the clock, and any porter hours you want during peak periods.
A free walkthrough, ideally at a quiet hour, lets Arbor see every room and send back a written plan and quote, with daytime porter hours listed separately.
A few useful answers
Common questions
Is there a way to clean the locker rooms without closing the club?
Yes. One locker room is closed with signs and cleaned while the other stays open, then they switch, so members always have a place to change.
What happens to the chalk and grit in our rubber flooring?
It is vacuumed out of the texture first, then the floor is damp-cleaned with a pH-neutral product that keeps rubber from turning brittle or slippery.
Do you reset group studios between the last class and the first one?
Yes. Mirrors, bikes, barres, reformers, mats and the studio floor are cleaned after the evening schedule, so the room is ready for the morning class.
Do physical therapy gyms get their own checklist?
Yes. Treatment tables, parallel bars, exercise balls and shared bands are wiped and disinfected between clinic days, along with the restrooms and front desk.
Can a fitness room in our office building join our cleaning plan?
Yes. Equipment, mirrors, the shower room and the floor go on their own checklist inside your office plan, cleaned on the same nights as the rest of the building.
